What to expect the first time you open AgentDock.

The first time you open AgentDock, expect two things before you get to the app itself: an OS warning about the unsigned build, and an empty workspace list.

OS security warnings

Because current builds aren't code-signed, Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper will flag AgentDock as coming from an unrecognized publisher. This is expected for every install, not a sign of a corrupted download. See the Windows or macOS installation pages for the exact steps to proceed past the warning.

Automatic CLI detection

On launch, AgentDock searches your PATH (and, on Windows and macOS, a few known install locations) for supported agent CLIs — claude, codex, and agy. Whatever it finds becomes available to pick from when you start a session. If none are detected yet, see Connecting your coding agents and Agent CLI not detected.

Empty state

With no workspace open yet, AgentDock will prompt you to add a project folder. This is the same action described in Creating your first workspace — pick any folder you want an agent to work in.
