Advanced & diagnostics
The Git executable override, first-run setup state, and built-in diagnostics.
The Advanced tab groups low-level configuration and diagnostic information that doesn't belong on a per-agent or appearance level.
Settings
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
advanced.gitExecutablePath | The git executable AgentDock shells out to for the Changes drawer and other Git-related features. Defaults to git (resolved on PATH). Override this if you need to point AgentDock at a specific Git install. |
cliSetup.setupDismissed | Whether you've dismissed AgentDock's first-run CLI setup prompt. |
Note
Git is a prerequisite for the Changes drawer's diff/revert features — see System requirements.
Diagnostics
The Advanced tab is also where AgentDock surfaces diagnostic information, reachable directly or via the Open Diagnostics link on Settings → Agents:
- App, Electron, Chromium, and Node.js versions.
- The local SQLite database path.
- Codex runtime resolution details (which of the detection tiers found a working Codex executable).
This is the information to gather first when collecting diagnostic information for a bug report.
